Producer: Domaine du Petit Clocher

Fonded in 1920 with only 5 hectares, the Domaine du Petit Clocher has been passed through four generations of wine makers in the Denis familly, to be owned nowadays by the young generation of cousins on a surface of 80 hectares. The estate is located in the city of Cléré-sur-Layon in the heart of the Anjou subregion on particularly rich and benefic soils.
The new generation has made a drastic work to first change completely the range of the wines produced by the estate to have modern cuvées, often with only a unique grape variety. They also built a brand new production site in 2014 to increase the quality and vinification methods range that are at their disposal. This investment has been more than benefic as their 2015 vintage was amazing and has been adored by every most influent taster and wine guides in France, giving them a great reputation in the industry. Those wines are particularly rare as they are just starting to raise their production quotas and practically impossible to find in the UK.
